However, the reviews that mention that they are extremely soft- influenced me to buy them- but they were wrong. The reviews posted on Amazon are typically quite solid. I think that the towels are nice and a great price. They are averagely soft but not not overly so. Again, a good price for what you get.
Wish I needed more. Really thick plush soft towels. I thought maybe for this price they would be cheaply made but they aren't. I got two sets. Wash very nicely and keep their color.
Like so many other reviewers here, we got these towels and within three machine washings the sides are in long shreds. Sometimes it takes a dozen or more washes to get Egyptian cotton towels more absorbent. I've had a lot of different towels over the years, but these are among the worst. Even after washing, these towels don't feel absorbent. They are nice looking. Too bad the quality sucks.
They do get softer the more they're washed as I had seen a reviewer mention before. I had already bought 2 sets of these towels in ivory. I liked them so much I bought another double set. cream. They are large and very absorbent. I am on fixed income (very low) so I can't afford to spend a lot. For the money these towels are the best deal around.
These towels felt great when they arrived. Unfortunately that didn't last. After I washed them for the first time they completely fell apart at the seams and began to tear. I would not recommend this towel set
